I just started this one. Many of you may not know this, but I'm a serious 'Potterhead'! I love HP!!!!!!!! (especially the books!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) I finally broke down and did some HP fanart ;) I'm especially a huge Harry and Ron fan! They're my favorite chars! It's not finnished yet, but seeing as I've not uploaded anything for a while (I was preoccupied with a huge hw assignment that I just recently completed after many nights of little or no sleep!) I thought I'd go ahead and upload it anyways, just to let ya'll know I'm still alive.

I'm a Potter-head too!!

I didnt know you liked Harry Potter.

This is...wow...It looks just like Daniel Radcliffe. And it's not finished?! Well, you capture likenesses amazingly.
*poke whisper* Draw a Malfoy.

You know it's funny...I was going to draw some HP fan art this week, since the book is coming on in June...I wanted to get some out before people went HP art crazy.

*looks at your drawing again* That boy is going to be beautiful when he grows up. I love how you defined his face.

very awsome, looks exactly like it could have been done in charchol.

Thankies for the complements. I actually didn't read the HP books until after being force by a friend last summer. I was one of thos 'HP is so stupid' people, judging the books before I even read them. Well, all I can say is I learned my lesson well: NEVER judge a book by it's cover! These are some of my favorite books EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I read OOTP in like 3 sittings, I just couldn't put the 5th one down!!!!! I like the movies okay. The first one is rather watered-down in comparison to the books. The second one's a bit better, but it still was geared towards the kiddies a bit too much. The third one actually felt most like the books, darker and heavier in theme. The only thing that really bus me about the third one is they don't friggin' explain anything about Harry's patronus in relationship with his dad, why Serius is an animagus-heck they fail to mention anything about Harry's dad being one as well-, and the connection of the Whomping Willow to the Shrieking Shack. The best thing about the movies is the casting and the soundtrack (John Williams kicks some serious booty.... I'm still miffed that they didn't rehire him for GOF). But the books.... ahhhhh I could read them over and over and NEVER get tired of them!!!!!! JKR is a sheer genius! Oh, and about the 6th book: HBP doesn't come out until July 16th!!! GAAAAAAAA !!!!!!! I'm dying right now as it is!!!!! MUST HAVE BOOK NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm actuall looking forward to the 4th movie, as well. I'll be at an IMAX opening day Nov 16th for sure. The design for this movie is AMAZING. And the Hungasrian Horntail is ... WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only thing that bugs me is that WB has only allowed the movie to be 2 1/2 hours long.... not nearly enough time for a 700 page book! Oh, well, it will be the most expensive movie ever made, so at least the visuals ought to be fabo!

This is GREAT! It really looks like him!

Another Potterhead? HURRAH :D Ahem. Yes. I love love love it :) The books are just... wonderful.. the films don't compare, but the third one especially was improving. The other two films were certainly enjoyable, anyhow, and I can't wait for GOF... I hope the three actors stay on for OOTP.

125 days until the next book... Ohhhh.. I can't wait...

Well, I saw the first movie before I ever read the first book, so to be honest, I dont have a solid opinion about the relationship of the movie to the book. However the second movie did do the second book justice.
I cant say I was entirely happy with the director of the third movie. I did like how it was a little darker to set the feel of the dark subject of the third book, but what happened to the wizarding world being an amazing, captivating, colorful place? Might as well shot the film in black and white.
The third movie also seemed to lack time. It seemed everything happened one right after the other. There was no real inforcement of time. The first and second movie clearly showed the seasons changing and long periods of time passing by the simple pans over the spring/winter ground of Hogwarts.
The third movie spent no time establishing seasonal changes beyond the whomping willow sheding it's leaves or eating a bird.
Lame.
Oh, you know I cant wait for the sixth book either!!! My friend and I have preordered it and intend on showing up for the midnight madness purchase. We'll probably stay up the entire next day reading it if we dont have work.
The same can be said for the movie, except that if we have work the next morning, we'll just suffer, because Harry Potter is totally worth it.
I going to read the entire series through before the sixth book comes out, but I have to pace myself or I'll read all the books in like two weeks. Which would be good and bad all at once.
Have you seen the new book cover? It made the news, so I cant image many people have missed seeing it, however you can see it at Borders.com or Amazon.com.
My friends and I have a theory going on as to who the Half Blood Prince is. And just to go on record, to say that I said it before the book came out...I think the HBP is Godfrey Gryffindor.
Going back to the movies really quick...The fourth book was my favorite of all of them, so I'm excited to see what the movie is like. I know it wont be that great since editing will rape important scenes from the book, but it should hold the general feel. I'm excited to see Miranda Richardson playing Rita Skeeter! She's a good actress.
I'll have to bug my friend who works for Warner to see if she knows why they didnt just do a longer movie with and intermission. I think if they dont do that with the fifth book OotP, then they'll lose an big chunk of HP followers. They could even do what they did with Kill Bill and make it into two movies and release them a few months from each other (though I'd probably die in anticipation).
Jumping back to the book (my mind is all over the place...it's late, please forgive me)...Now that Lucius is in Azkaban *sniffle*, maybe they'll have Narcissa play a bigger role in Draco's life. Since I adore the Malfoys, I sort of hope that JKR will compensate for one of Draco's parents being gone with the other. I like the LeStranges too. Bellatrix is great. Though I wouldnt mind learning more about, Andromeda, because she's Sirius's cousin (bonus) and Tonk's mother ('nother bonus).
*ponder* So I suppose I really just like the Black family, and any ties they have with spouses or children. :yum:
It's funny that I should like so many Slytherins and Death Eaters when I really am a sorted Gryffindor. XD At least so says the offical site, and the real sorting hat (courtesy of the WB HP museum).
AH! What are they going to do in the sixth book with all the bad guys gone?!?! Who am I going to fawn over? ;-; I mean...ok, Draco has potential if you look at his father, and picture his mother...But...The evil people really made the whole thing happen for me. Voldemort is just some ugly bald guy. So he doesnt really give me any satisfaction when it comes to 'evil hiding behind a pretty face'. You expect him to be corrupt...look at him!
Oh, and Ron and Hermione better start cookin'! I cant take anymore of this beating around the bush. Harry needs to get together with Ginny, now that he's seen the error of his ways with Cho, and Luna better keep clear of Ron or I'll set my Hermione-lovers after her!
I also have this forboding feeling that one of three people are going to kick the can by the end of the seventh book...Molly Weasly, Neville Longbottom, and Severus Snape. Dunno why, I just have a feeling that JKR would be that evil.
Wow...I wrote back a lot...and I look kind of schitzo in my writings too. ;) Sorry! I was just all over the place!

Hahaha!!! Dude don't even get me started on my HP gibber-jabber! I could go on for ages on my speculations and what-nots. Quite frankly, after reading so many freaking editorials at the mugglenet.com website, I now have no idea what to think about where JKR is going with the plot.... so many possibilities. I'm really curious as to who the HBP is going to be! And I can't wait to know what the big secret about Lily is and why the heck Dumbledor trusts Snape! I sure hope that JKR doesn't kill off Ron in book 6 or 7, either! Gaaaaa!!!!! I'm dying for all these questions to be answered NOW!!!!!!!!! I'm also going to the midnight party-thingy to pick up my copy of HBP!!!!!! Then I'll stay up the rest of the night reading the darn book!!!!!!!!
